Warranty, Return, Exchange and Cancellation Policy

At Moda Bakır, customer satisfaction comes first for our 100% pure copper products, handcrafted in our own workshop. The following terms apply to all orders placed via www.modabakir.com.

1. General Provisions

• All users who place an order on www.modabakir.com are deemed to have accepted the terms of the Distance Sales Agreement and the Preliminary Information Form.
• All commercial transactions on our website are subject to Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and the Distance Contracts Regulation.
• Shipping is free for all orders within Turkey.
• For international orders, all shipping costs are paid by the buyer. The shipping fee is calculated from the volumetric weight (desi) of the products and shown at checkout.
• For international orders, customs duties and taxes in the buyer’s country are paid by Moda Bakır on the buyer’s behalf.
• Orders are shipped to the delivery address specified by the buyer within the legal period of 30 days.
• All our copper products are packed and shipped complete, in sound condition and in accordance with the specifications stated in the order.
• If an order cannot be delivered due to force majeure, raw material or stock shortages, or production-related issues, the buyer will be informed and the full amount paid will be refunded within 14 days.

2. Delivery and Shipping Inspection

• Please inspect the package in the presence of the courier upon delivery.
• Do not accept crushed, torn, opened or otherwise damaged packages; ask the courier to issue a damage report.
• Packages accepted without a damage report are considered to have been delivered complete and undamaged.
• Natural Material Notice: Pure copper naturally changes colour, tarnishes or oxidises over time through contact with air and moisture. This is not a manufacturing defect but a natural characteristic of copper.

3. Right of Withdrawal and Returns (Turkey)

• The buyer may withdraw from the purchase within 14 (fourteen) days of delivery without giving any reason.
• For a return to be accepted, the product must be unused, undamaged, in its original packaging and in resaleable condition.
• Return requests must first be sent in writing to destek@modabakir.com with the order number.
• The buyer must send the product to the return address below within 14 days of the withdrawal notice.
• Return address: Moda Bakır, Menderes Mahallesi 46029 Sokak No:28/B, Dulkadiroğlu / Kahramanmaraş, Turkey.
• Return shipping: Although delivery within Turkey is free, the return shipping cost is paid by the buyer. Returns sent without paid postage will not be accepted.
• Refund: Your payment will be refunded to the original payment method within 7 business days at the latest from the date the returned product is handed to the carrier.

4. Exchanges (Turkey)

• You may request an exchange within 14 days of delivery for an unused product in resaleable condition.
• Exchange requests must be sent in writing to destek@modabakir.com with the order number.
• For exchanges within Turkey, shipping costs are paid by Moda Bakır.
• Custom-made products cannot be exchanged (see section 7).

5. Returns and Exchanges for International Orders

• International buyers may request a return or exchange within 14 days of delivery.
• For international returns and exchanges, all shipping costs are paid by the buyer.
• Customs duties and taxes paid by Moda Bakır on the buyer’s behalf at the time of the order are not refunded if the product is returned.
• Refund: Your payment will be refunded to the original payment method within 7 business days at the latest after the returned product is delivered to us.

6. Defective or Damaged Products

• If we send a product that is defective, faulty or damaged in transit (with a damage report), all shipping costs for its return or exchange are paid by Moda Bakır. This applies to orders within Turkey and international orders.
• If the replacement product also arrives damaged, all further shipping costs are again paid by Moda Bakır.
• In such cases, please email destek@modabakir.com with your order number and photos of the product.

7. Non-Returnable and Non-Exchangeable Products

Returns and exchanges are not accepted in the following cases:

• Products that have been used or exposed to open fire or excessive heat.
• Products scratched, dented, crushed or deformed through misuse.
• Products tarnished, dulled or with damaged tin lining due to dishwasher use.
• Products damaged by harsh chemical cleaners (bleach, hydrochloric acid, steel wool, etc.).
• Custom-made products, products engraved with names or motifs, or orders made to the customer’s specific size requests.
• Products returned without their original invoice, accessories and special packaging (if any).

8. Copper Product Care and Warranty

All Moda Bakır products are made of 100% pure copper. Slight surface variations and hammer marks resulting from handcrafting are not defects but natural characteristics of traditional craftsmanship.

Not covered by the warranty:

• Natural tarnishing, oxidation and colour changes from regular use.
• Deformation resulting from not following the care and usage instructions.

Care recommendations:

• Never wash copper products in a dishwasher.
• Do not use steel wool, abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals; use a soft sponge and washing-up liquid.
• Always dry thoroughly after washing; do not leave copper wet for long periods.
• Natural methods such as lemon, vinegar or baking soda can be used to clean and polish the outer surface.

9. Payment Security

• For security, orders that raise suspicion of unauthorised or stolen card use may be cancelled, and the necessary legal steps will be taken.
